All games were practically decided before Monday night’s game in LA, so let’s take a look at how things played out this week in The League.

Game of the Week: Saving Matt Ryan (Jackson) 129 vs Can’t Guard Mike (Taylor) 116

Jackson wins this week’s Game of the Week brought to us by Pink Whitney. A valent effort from Justin Herbert made it close for Taylor, but a stellar performance from AJ Brown boosts Jackson to victory. Mike Thomas has been guarded this year however, mostly by his injuries but it appears he is on track to play next week. Both teams are now 5–2, and people who used to criticize the born Nebraskan are quickly shutting up. Next week Jackson plays Rogo, and Taylor matches up with Josh.

Not Bad for a Running Back (DJ) 146 vs Alvin and the Chipmunks (Brady) 119

DJ gets a nice victory this week over Brady after several good performances. Dionte Johnson was a nice play scoring 29 fantasy points. For Brady, he continues to go downhill, now losing his last 4 matchups. After trading Christian McCaffrey for Aaron Jones, hope could be lost. The Chipmunks might be preparing for hibernation after these recent struggles. DJ has a theoretical bye week next week against Joey, as Brady tries to change his fortunes against the man they call Dirty Mike.

Dirty Mike and the Boys (Michael) 93 vs St. Louis Blue Bands (Konnor) 162

Speaking of Dirty Mike, it’s a good thing he lives in beautiful weather because there isn’t much else to hang his hat on this week. A league high 53 points from Tyler Lockett gives the Commish a league high as well. Scoring 162 points and even having a player score zero should scare the championship contenders. Konnor, now with the best record in the league, looks destined for another deep playoff run. For Michael, its back to the drawing board as he looks to continue a good season, for Michael standards of course. Konnor plays Tyler, and Mike plays Brady in week 8.

Kittle Me This (Tyler) 132 vs Josh’s Football Team (Josh) 119

A great interdivision matchup this week gives us a Tyler winner over Josh. A DJ Moore bonus was a major factor in the outcome of this one. Tyler is now 4–3 and looks to be a threat to compete for his first title. Josh however is 3–4, and although not out of it, doesn’t appear to have the fire power he’s had in years past. We will see what the former NDCL Lion has next week for us as he plays the cream of the crop Konnor. Josh plays the Shaker native Taylor.

.Rogo (Self-explanatory) 148 vs The Sober 0phers (Joey) 115

Death, taxes, and Joey losing. Another bad performance from Joey this week paired with Odell being done for the year is a recipe for the dreaded Jamokus Jones trophy. Enough negative for now, let’s focus on a great week from Eric’s team. Davante Adams gave Eric 44 points along with Kyler Murray giving him 36. A 3–4 Rogo team is a matchup people might not want to see in the playoffs if he’s able to get in. You need to play your cards right when playing Rogo, period. Eric gets Jackson next week, and the 0phers look to get their first win versus DJ.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Week 7

A weekly look at good performances, bad performances, and ugly injuries.

Monday night game not included

The Good

· Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks

Welcome back Mr. Lockett. What a dominating performance late on Sunday from the Seahawks ole reliable receiver. Lockett had himself a night catching 15 passes, for 200 yards, and 3 touchdowns. He was lighting up the Arizona defense, but the crazy thing is Konnor was looking for Lockett to be shipped during the week he said. Was he actually going to move him, we don’t know. Konnor’s thoughts on the performance were “Couldn’t have been more proud of the kid”. After a few weeks of Lockett struggles, “He showed he wants to compete for a championship with us”. 53 fantasy points was huge in a Konnor win over Michael, we will see if Lockett can duplicate this performance next week against the 49ers.

· Davante Adams, WR, Packers

In what was a big win for Rogo, the player of the week for him was Davante Adams, the Green Bay wide out. Against a porous Texan defense, he recorded 13 catches, 196 yards, and 2 touchdowns. This totaled 44 fantasy points as Eric cruised past Joey. With the amount of targets Adams sees on a regular basis, it’s to no surprise he had a performance like this. Rogo has to be thrilled with numbers like this from one of his top selections, and next week they battle the 1–5 Vikings. Lookout for Adams again next Sunday.

· Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers

What a stellar performance from the rookie out of Eugene. He tried his all in getting Taylor back into his matchup with Jackson by scoring 41 fantasy points. 347 yards in the air and 4 total touchdowns gave Taylor something to root for in the 4 o’clock slate. After Dak went down, he needed to fill the void with a new quarterback, and I think he did that with the impressive Herbert. He is a no doubt plug in next week at Denver.

· AJ Brown, WR, Titans

Above we learned that Taylor lost to Jackson. A big reason why is the catalyst performance of downtown AJ Brown. A 76-yard bonus touchdown was huge for Brown, adding to the 33-point fantasy outing. Jackson is continuing to turn heads this year, as he is a legitimate contender for the title. Brown has been playing great of late, and with Tannehill looking legit, these numbers should remain constant. They matchup with the Bengals next week, in what can be another explosive outing for downtown.

The Bad

· Ceedee Lamb, WR, Cowboys

Goose eggs are great for spawning new geese, but not for fantasy football. Brady found this out the hard way Sunday after slotting Lamb into his lineup. A scoreless game fantasy wise for Lamb hands Brady yet another loss this season. The defending champ needs to change things quick to avoid being left out of the playoffs. With the QB situation in Dallas up in the air, we believe the rookie must be sat until he proves to be valuable. They play the Eagles next week.

· Keenan Cole Sr, WR, Jaguars

To be honest with you, I don’t know much about this guy. After this week’s performance, I expect it to stay that way. Cole had 2 fantasy points in a Taylor loss. We understand Taylor is dealing with byes and injuries, but there are much better options he could have played this week. I do not think Cole will play for him again with guys coming back, but it’s hard to ignore this performance that was a factor in a tough defeat.

· Jerick McKinnon, RB, 49ers

Back to the goose eggs unfortunately for the 49ers running back. Although it did not play a role in Konnor winning with the high score this week, Mckinnon had zero fantasy points as well. The 49ers stated that it was for rest purposes, so he did not see field as much as his other running mates. Konnor probably doesn’t care too much with this performance, but we love signaling out goose eggs.

The Ugly

· Odell Beckham Jr, WR, Browns

We will start the ugly with the obvious one for the Browns. Odell suffered a torn ACL Sunday in Cincy, meaning he is out for the season. This sucks for Browns fans across the world, as one of the top receivers and personalities in the NFL is just like Joeys team, done this year. We pray for a speedy recovery and strong comeback for one of Cleveland’s own.

· Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks

Another injury, another player on Taylor’s roster. Carson left Sundays game early with an ankle injury. We do not know the severity yet, but he is scheduled for an MRI this week. We hope the best for Taylor’s team, which gets another hurtful injury.

· Kenyan Drake, RB, Cardinals

Another injury Sunday night was Drake who suffered an ankle injury as well. He was carted off the field and it did not look pretty. This is a tough loss for Eric as we wait and see how long he will be without the Cardinal running backs services. For the time being, Chase Edmunds will serve as the backup.
